Day 3 marks the day we going to the coldest place that we will encounter for the whole trip....it is also the day we first arrive at our hometown and watch my longest duration of fireworks
We all woke up shivering....cause the temperature is at least 5 degree C....using 3 layers of blanket and 4 layer of clothing doesn't help much....how can such a cold place has no heater in the hotel room??...breakfast was at the resturant in the hotel

Another healthy round of hakka style....

The tour guide pick us up and we went on to the mountain resort and tea plantation...the road of meizhou is specially designed to be beautiful

The city is now modern and clean....

a monument representing meizhou

Exiting the city area, we went tunnelling again

We went along a highway beside a river and there are a couple of nice shelter beside it....

Even a hydro power station.....

Finally, we reached Yan Nan Fei, a AAAA classified tourist attraction in China..

The main entrance...

We got of the bus and where all freezing....temperature is 2-7 degree C here....the coldest we experience thruout the whole trip....We were first invited to a lodge which sell the tea grown from the plantation and other local products

We also treated to a freeflow of premium Tie guan ying

Moving out of the lodge...the cold air was warmed by the beautiful and serene environment

we came to this buidling which is their main hall cum restuarant....

We went out to the corridor of the main hall and saw this....the whole resort scenery

The air is fresh although is cold....my sensitive nose actually felt good....went abck to the main hall and saw this big Pu Er

We proceed back to the van after touring and enjoying the fresh air and scenery and saw this....mountain spring water coming out of a live bamboo

We proceed to another tourist attraction...and went pass the hydro power station again

After half an hour ride, we reached the pagoda of thousand buddha...

The elders took a cab up while young pple like me took a short climb up the pagoda......

They have a lot of this...which chinese called "fake hill"

right below the pagoda is a temple for praying.....no monk...just nuns everywhere

After praying, we went up the pagoda....

Din managed to take a close up shot and cannot shoot inside....anyway, this pagoda is for a small 3m high pagoda which is made of metal...and ahs 1000 buddha scrupture on it...so i took scenery outside

We proceed back downhill and saw a whole row of stalls selling firecrackers and other fireworks

After this, we went back to the city area for lunch at a very nice restuarant

The wall are full of this

The small hall for lunch....

Lunch is another round of traditional Hakka food...

Not forgetting beer to warm the body

After another round of wonderful meal....we hanged around the street a bit...found this map of the restuarant....and we are only at one small corner at the botttom left

The street of meizhou....

So we proceed back to our most important destination of the whole trip....Jiayang...we left meizhou went ont eh highway again....

Have a toilet break...

Caught the train went by

After 2 hrs, we entered the outer area of Jieyang

we finally reached the hotel...probably the tallest in this city

A view from my room on 15th floor

after settled our room, we were brought to another hotel for dinner......as we went along the town...the place is so modern with high rise.....

We crossed the most important river called Rong jiang....

We had an earlier dinner today because we need to reached our relative house before the road close for fireworks....so we are back with teochew dishes...interestingly, an interesting fact about food here...no pork, beef, mutton, chicken and duck.....only goose and seafood and lots of vegetables

So After a good round of food, we went to our relative place.....walking along the street of the "old hometown" feels wierd with all the condominum neon lights and the clean and beautiful street....no longer villages and farms like 10 years ago when my uncles and aunties came..

The fire works started at 8pm..we got to climb 6 levels to reached the roof top.....and there we saw all the roof of the buildings around us are filled with people.....The nite scenery is beautiful from all the neon lights from condos and buildings at the other side of the rong jiang...
