Eat in Hong Kong: Chee Kei 池記- 尖沙咀

尖沙咀樂道52號地下, Hong Kong +852 2368 2528

One of the better restaurant that I have tried and is affordable price and tasty food. This is very close to Tsim Sha Tsui Exit A1.

Simple table layout and I like the set meal style. Choose the main food and select one side dish.

Simple but fresh and delicious...I love the chunky stems

There are 3 different stuff here...pork ball, wanton and....cannot remember...nice taste

Beef noodle...love the very thin, slim and QQ noodle and the soup....delicious meat

Wanton Noodle...this is one of the thinnest noodles I ever tried....the soup is delicious

Best of all...voucher for next visit....I will come back again next time to try other dishes when I visit Hong Kong next time

Eat in Hong Kong: Aberdeen Fishball & Noodles Restaurant 香港仔魚蛋粉

尖沙咀堪富利士道5號舖+852 2739 8028

This is where I got my first meal and I believe I saw many branches of this brand in Kowloon from Tsim Sha Tsui to Mongkok. I visited this at Humphreys Road just outside Exit A2 of Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station. I would say if you do not know where to eat, this is the place to try the typical Hong Kong food.

The whole wall of the interior is nothing else but the food menu...see until eyes blur..just focus on one and choose what you want. Just look at the menu is enough.

How to use chopstick. Should be for the non-chinese. I still don't know how to use it this way.

This is what this restaurant name is about...The fishball noodles Hong Kong Style:

Fried Fish Skin and first time I ate this. Fell in love with this and I got 2 big packets back (Can be found at Aji Ichiban)

Smoked Pig Trotters...this is a traditional chinese dish...cannot find in Singapore...Not cheap but is a must try...like this as well

A metal cup of honey chrysanthemum tea:

New Balance Minimus MT00: Tearing apart

The Worst Running Shoes I own. I only used it for walking.
Not even a Single Run in it. I wonder how fast it will tear apart if I use it for Run.

Run in Hong Kong: Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon

Other than Shopping and Eating in Hong Kong, one popular event that runners like to do in hong Kong is the Annual Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon which is held on the 2nd Sunday after Lunar New Year.

Registration normally filled up within a day for full and half marathon so need to be very quick.

This year event attracted about 71000 registration and about 66000 runners started the race. The reason for such popularity is the good organization, challenging route, great atmosphere and cooling weather.

I only took part in the half marathon so that I have other half marathon of energy for the rest of the trip to shop and eat.

The race starts on Nathan Road (TST) near Hotel Mira and ends at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island as shown below:

The Map for the start area:

The bag deposit trucks near the start line:

Walking towards the start line:

Great weather as shown on the board:

The big crowd just before the start. There are 2 waves for Half marathon and this is the 1st wave:

I did not take any photos along the way but after ending at the finishing line, the organization is great. They split up the 10km, half marathon and full marathon runners into their respective area to collect the bags.

At the finishing point collecting the goodies:

The Tram:

Truck 11 as assigned...lucky no queue..but the rest of the truck has very long queue:

The left is the isotonic drink given along the way and at the end point and the right is the drinking water. Both sponsored by watson....they tasted great and much better than what we have here but unfortunately, not available here in Singapore.
